The "Reliance Petroleum Scam" typically refers to the 2014 Krishna-Godavari (KG) Basin gas pricing controversy and alleged crony capitalism. Activists Arvind Kejriwal and Prashant Bhushan spearheaded the allegations, which accused Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) and government ministers of colluding to hike natural gas prices at the expense of the public.  The Key Allegations Artificial Scarcity: RIL was accused of deliberately hoarding gas and suppressing production in the KG-D6 basin to force the government into doubling gas prices.
